This portable water bottle has come in handy for many car trips. The top is a bowl that gets filled by pressing a button to release water. Any leftover water you can pour out or you can press the button and the water goes back into the water tank.

The ability to reclaim the water has been great on long car rides to keep the car seats dry. It is also a great way to carry only the water that your dog will actually use while on a hike. Prior to finding this portable water bottle, we carried far too much heavy water and a bowl because our dogs would claim to be thirsty, get distracted, and never drink their water. Once we emptied the bowl, they remembered they were thirsty.
This is so much better.
